Ed Hopper decided in 2017 that his company would donate half of its profits to charities on new merchants that they set up. Mr. Hopper is the President of Altor Process- ing Systems. He has been in the credit card processing industry since 1995 and started his own company in January of 1999.

In January 2018, ALTOR/50 was launched. Five charities were picked based on Cancer, Kids, Pets, Military and Mental Health as the 2018 Charities of Choice.
