Hoyt’s Luncheonette Expands Menu with After Dark Dishes

Hoyt's After Dark

Shiptown fans were sad when Stephen Marsh closed the cherished, sea-centric restaurant. But they’re happy that the virtuoso-chef (also owner of nearby “farm-to-finer diner” LeGrand Kitchen) opened Hoyt’s Luncheonette in its stead with reimagined classics including a reuben with kimchi kraut and a beet “faux strami.” They were sad, though, that it was open only for lunch. Now they’re happy again as Marsh recently elongated hours with Hoyt’s After Dark. He rolls out a happy hour menu Tuesdays through Thursdays (4 to 7 p.m.), and on Fridays and Saturdays (until 10 p.m.) he presents sandwiches, steaks and specialty cocktails. Make that very happy.
