The post-pandemic real estate market proved to be one of the most expensive and competitive in the industry’s history. The market’s combination of hefty price tags and limited inventory created a wave of hesitation among buyers. During their moment’s pause, many buyers discovered their dream homes in luxury apartments which, unlike most single-family homes, do not require sacrificing amenities for affordability.

While some luxury apartments do often carry high monthly rates, it is not the cost that asserts their opulence, rather their location, amenities and services. One of the newest and most highly sought-after residences—The Pearl at Marina Shores—is located off Great Neck Road near Shore Drive in Virginia Beach.

Celebrated for exuding historic charm and coastal edge, The Pearl is making waves in Coastal Virginia for more reasons than one. These waterfront apartments not only occupy prime real estate but boast top-of-the-line interiors, lavish community spaces and sweeping views of the Lynnhaven River.

The development captures visitors with its air of resort-style living as much as its one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The private boardwalk alone is proof that life at The Pearl is synonymous with living in luxury. The Brazilian walnut wood path meanders the river line and leads residents to the pool, sundeck and two-story clubhouse outfitted with a cardio theater, game room and social spaces.

Another perk: just beyond the property line awaits some of the best cuisine at the beach. Most neighboring eateries like Surf Rider, Ballyhoos and The Porch on long Creek are easily accessible by bike, boat or kayak, so you rarely have to take your car out from one of The Pearl’s private, detached garages.

Even more perks await inside the Pearl. Each apartment marries open-concept floor plans, nine- to 10-foot ceilings and sleek hardware to create the ultimate, breezy oasis. Private patios invite the outdoors in and accentuate The Pearl’s live like a local vibe.

Behind The Pearl’s operation is Virginia Beach’s Signature Management Corporation. Over the past 60 years, the Signature team has managed a number of residential developments throughout Coastal Virginia. Regulating luxury properties is certainly no small feat, but the property management specialists at Signature perform at the highest caliber and seamlessly bridge the elegance of Pearl living to the expected excellence in customer service.

While The Pearl remains the anchor of the bay community, a new luxury residence will arrive at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront next year. The Pinnacle on 31st Street is slated for completion in January 2023 and its renderings hint at 240 units accompanied by private parking, a rooftop pool, lazy river and spacious workout facility. The Breeden Company, the real estate development firm spearheading the project, promises a beachfront community of epic proportions.

With The Pearl in full swing and The Pinnacle nearing completion, Coastal Virginia is well on its way to becoming the Commonwealth’s next hottest region for posh pads.
