Pungo Boys BBQ garnered significant attention late last year when they teased at an exciting announcement on social media. Revealed shortly thereafter was the brick-and-mortar’s sponsorship of the city’s next mobile food truck, The Flying Pig. Owners Allan Brock and Bill Dixon are excited about their newest opportunity to deliver Pungo Boys’ hearty platters and smoked eats to barbecue lovers across the region.

The Flying Pig Food Truck offers a scaled down version of the brick-and-mortar menu, but delivers the same quality bites and tangy selection of house-made sauces like Piggy Perfume Vinegar Souse Sauce and House Fire Sauce. From the mobile joint, you can choose from five varieties of platters (sans bun) including Smoked Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Pulled BBQ Chicken, Smoked Sausage and a trio of Brisket, Pork and Sausage, an array of sandwiches, signature sides like the Ragged Island Redskin Potato Salad and hushpuppies, and the fan favorite, Loaded Ribbon Fry Nachos.

The Flying Pig has plans to frequent many local watering holes this year including breweries, distilleries and festivals. The food truck and catering service is also available for private events like birthday parties or corporate functions. Active military, veterans and first responders, be sure to bring your ID. The owners of The Flying Pig want to offer you 10% off. Follow their Facebook to keep tabs on their upcoming pit stops. On Facebook, The Flying Pig Food Truck.
