Future brides, grooms, family members and friends got a taste of wedding magic at the Coastal Virginia Bride Winter Wedding Showcase held on Jan. 5 at The Founders Inn and Spa in Virginia Beach. Local wedding experts were on hand offering tips and inspiration on everything from that perfect wedding venue to flower and décor ideas to photographers, videographers, DJs and, of course, caterers, cakes and other creative wedding menu options.
During the event, SilverSpoon Bakery, Carolina Cupcakery and Twisted Sisters Cupcakes provided delicious dessert samples. Models mingled with guests, who got an up-close look at gorgeous gowns, bridesmaids’ dresses and more from Avenir Bridal. Four lucky brides participated in the annual Cake Dive, where the winner received a trip for two to the Caribbean. The grand prize winner took home a pair of stunning wedding bands valued at $3,500 from Boyer’s Diamonds in Town Center. Other raffle prizes included Coastal Virginia Magazine WineFest tickets valued at $1,000.
