High-energy modern Irish rockers and locals’ favorite The Fighting Jamesons will be greening it up in style on and around St. Patty’s Day this year, playing a series of events in the region and in Richmond. “This upcoming string of shows is particularly special because we decided to spend this March tending back to our roots doing regional shows around Virginia,” says Miles Hoyle, the band’s accordionist.

Those shows include the annual Shamrockin’ In Ghent block party supporting the Hope House Foundation on March 10, Shamrock the ’Burg in Williamsburg on March 16, The National in Richmond on March 17 and Old Towne Public House Portsmouth on March 18. The band is also hard at work on a third studio album, and fans can expect to hear some of those new songs at their upcoming shows.
