From Paris to London to New York City, global participatory “Inside Out Project” is coming to Virginia Beach to honor veterans, active military and military families. The event, titled Faces of Courage, will launch at 5324 Virginia Beach Blvd. Virginia Beach (Haynes) on November 11th, 2021.
With Hampton Roads being one of the largest military installations in the world, The Faces of Courage plans to pay tribute to over 420,000 people in the area who are active duty members, veterans and their families. The exhibit will feature real-life captured emotions and create a vulnerable environment to promote a more compassionate community. The whole thing will be put on by Inside Out, an art project that is large-scale and participatory across the globe that turn “messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work.” Participants from around the world upload black and white digital images that will be transformed into posters that can be exhibited within the participants’ communities.
