From Pennsylvania to Pungo
She’s from Pennsylvania. He’s from Virginia Beach. They met as students at James Madison University, became friends and then something more! Both Abby and Dave love the outdoors including visiting favorite local spots like First Landing State Park and North End and Sandbridge beaches. When it came time to pick a spot for their wedding, the elegance and Southern charm of Denali Jean Ranch in Dave’s native Pungo was perfect for gathering with family and friends on their special day. The night before their wedding, they enjoyed a lovely rehearsal dinner at nearby Red Head Bay Café.

Guest List: Approximately 140 of Abby and Dave’s family and friends traveled from PA, VA, MD, NC and AZ to join their celebration.
How They Met: Abby and Dave met at James Madison University. They started as started as best friends, and it blossomed into something more after a few years.
The Engagement: During a trip to the mountains that also included a football game at their alma mater, the couple went on a hike. Dave proposed at an overlook on Skyline Drive at sunset on the way back from the hike.
Wedding Wishes: “We knew that we wanted to have our wedding in Pungo,” says Abby, “because Dave grew up out there, and we spend a lot of time with friends and family out there. We wanted a fall wedding that was elegant and beautiful but also relaxing and fun with a for all our families and friends.”
The Honeymoon: Abby and Dave enjoyed their honeymoon in Saint Lucia at the Sandals Grande St. Lucia Resort.
