It’s not often that VistaGraphics, publisher of Coastal Virginia Weddings, gets to celebrate one of its own in our Local Love section. Director of Events Hayley Thomas (now Kindred) makes the magic happen behind the scenes for Coastal Virginia Magazine events like the annual CoVa Wine Fest, CoVa Burger Battle, CoVa Weddings Showcase and much more. It’s our honor to share the love that was so abundant at Hayley and Colin’s gorgeous Williamsburg wedding in these pages. A picture-perfect warm fall day was the backdrop for this very special event full of family and fun. Congratulations to our favorite newlyweds!

The Couple: Hayley Thomas & Colin Kindred
The Date: October 19, 2024
The Location: The Maine of Williamsburg, Williamsburg

Guest List: Approximately 170 of their family and friends were a part of their big day.

How They Met: Hayley and Colin knew each other in high school but reconnected after college through the dating app Tinder. And the rest is history!

The Engagement: With the help of both of their families, and a staged photographer, Colin surprised Hayley with a proposal at Norfolk’s Waterside Armed Forces Memorial overlooking the Elizabeth River.

Wedding Wishes: Family is incredibly important to both Hayley and Colin, so they made sure to include them all in their day. For their celebration, they wanted a high-energy but elegant party with touches of fall and warm colors. They also wanted to make sure the party was personalized; Cue the custom drink stirrers, koozies and LED sticks.

The Honeymoon: Following their wedding, Hayley and Colin took an amazing honeymoon trip to Saint Lucia where they were able to enjoy local cuisine, relax on the beach, snorkel and explore the sulphur springs and mud baths.
