Timeless Elegance at Norfolk Botanical Garden
Molly and Miguel Hernandez met at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Molly was a senior, and Miguel was a junior. The rest, as they say, is history. The couple, who are both active-duty military, now call Coastal Virginia home.

Molly, who is originally from Maine, moved to the area in 2018. Miguel, who is originally from Texas, followed in 2019. The Hernandez couple visit the Naval Academy for football games and events, but now Coastal Virginia has a special place in their hearts.
“We like going to the Eastern Shore,” said Miguel. One of his favorite memories was a trip to a farmer’s market in Onancock, followed by a leisurely day exploring Cape Charles.
Molly and Miguel love hiking in First Landing State Park and around Mt. Trashmore Park with their four-year-old Siberian Husky, named Sierra. “We really love being outside in general,” said Molly. “Anytime we’re out there, she’s with us.”
