The Hound’s Tale Corner BARkery

Hound's Tale Corner BARkery, Williamsburg

Folks kept wanting to buy the decor at dog-themed pub The Hound’s Tale in Williamsburg, explains Don Pratt. So he and his wife Geri recently unleashed Corner BARkery down the block. But beyond bowwow boutique, it’s a “canine speakeasy.”

The bar’s accordion window swings out onto a light-strung patio where people and pets nibble and imbibe: cheese boards, panini, wine, beer, spiked shakes for bipeds, animal-safe Chardognay and Mutt Light for the four-legged. The Pratts just sold their businesses (including the Aromas coffeehouses) to their bookkeeper Michelle Sieling and her husband Steve. They vow to stay the course, making The BARkery still the spot for those who love raising the woof.
