Wedding Fashion: Garden of Dreams

Binge-worthy bridal beauty inspired by TV’s hottest dramas brings the magic to Suffolk’s historic Pinner House
Garden of Dreams

The sets. The cinematography. The characters. The romance. And, mon dieu, the clothes! The world can’t stop watching, and we can’t stop oohing and aahing over the small screen fashion statements being made on some of TV’s hottest streaming hits.

“The fascination with Netflix shows in the wedding industry is apparent and appreciated,” says wedding coordinator Jenna Rose and owner of Norfolk-based Compass Rose Coordination, which specializes in eco-friendly weddings. “And we aren’t gonna lie—we’re totally here for this trend!”

Garden of Dreams

Taking inspiration from racy regency period piece Bridgerton and stylish romantic dramedy Emily in Paris, Rose joined creative forces Virginia’s Daughter Bridal Boutique and a dream team of area wedding industry professionals for a recent wedding fashion shoot captured by Deline Photography at Suffolk’s elegant Pinner House Bed & Breakfast.

“We chose models that represented real people while blending in fashion elements like puffy-sleeved dresses, hair bows and monochromatic color schemes,” Rose explains. The gowns, makeup and hairstyles were tailored to each model’s individual style and complemented by bold pieces from two local jewelers.

“We used elements of blues and gold to make a cohesive look and emphasize the intimate garden wedding look and feel,” notes Rose. Rentals, florals, paper, sweet treats and even a mobile bar added just the right cocktail of sophistication and whimsey against the soft, delicate backdrop of the Pinner House.
