Beginning in 2023, Coastal Virginia Magazine and CoVa BIZ are partnering with VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads for The Civic 50 Hampton Roads business recognition program.

The Civic 50 is a national initiative established by Points of Light and honoring community-minded companies as determined by an annual survey administered by True Impact. This is the first time the program has been offered at a local level in Virginia and it is one of a select few regional Civic 50 initiatives in the U.S.

The Civic 50 Hampton Roads 2023 selected businesses will be featured in the November-December 2023 issue of CoVa BIZ Magazine, which will be released at the same time as the results of Coastal Virginia Magazine’s Giving Back Awards for local nonprofit organizations.

About The Civic 50 Hampton Roads

The Civic 50 Hampton Roads sets the standard for civic engagement and creates a roadmap for companies committed to using their time, talent, and resources to drive social impact in their company and community.  Companies are selected for The Civic 50 based on four dimensions of their community engagement program: Investment of Resources, Integration Across Business Functions, Institutionalization Through Policies and Systems, and Impact Measurement.

Coastal Virginia-based businesses wishing to be considered can learn more and complete the assessment here: The Civic 50 Hampton Roads. The deadline to complete The Civic 50 Hampton Roads assessment is July 31, 2023.
