Diamonds & Denim Gala and Auction

Ability Center of Virginia (ACVA) hosted a Diamonds & Denim Gala and Auction on March 11 at the Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel. For 20 years, ACVA had organized a “Run for the Roses” theme for their gala, and this year’s Diamonds & Denim theme encouraged attendees to shine brightly for ACVA. Shine brightly they did, as guests arrived at the event decked out in their glitziest diamonds, tastefully paired with denim.

The event kicked off with cocktails, bourbon tasting and hors d’oeuvres while guests perused a silent auction, followed by a dinner reception, live music by Herbie D & The Dangermen and a live auction and jewelry raffle. Guests were also treated to a live painting session with Gerome Meminger of Art by Gerome, as well as singing and dancing performances from individuals assisted by ACVA.

Ability Center of Virginia provides programs and services to support the needs of children and adults with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities, helping them to lead productive, happy lives. Learn more on their website.
