Alencar Family Dentistry. is a Chesapeake- based family dentist practice that treats patients of all ages.
Under the leadership of Dr. Jayme A. Oliveira Filho (Dr. O), our practice is committed to delivering the highest quality dental care using advanced dental equipment. We are a cosmetic dentist that offers services like checkups, teeth cleaning, crowns, veneers and more. We also perform emergency dentist services that include bonding, root canals, crowns and bridges. As a local dentist, we create lifelong relationships with our patients and their families and work to ensure that they receive treat ments in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Dr.O was born in Brazil n 1976. He finished dental school at Federal University of Ceara School of Dentistry in 1999, going on to practice dentistry in Brazil for 5 years until he completed his post-graduation in prosthodontics.
He moved with his family to the United States in 2003 to further his dental education. He achieved his General Practice Residency degree as well as his Dental Implant Prosthetics Fellowship degree at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. After concluding his studies, he was invited to stay as a faculty member at the University of Miami.
Dr. O also practiced in Ohio before he movedto Virginia, where he now lives with his wife and son. Recently he was presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Awardby Marquis Who’s Who. During his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family. He also loves sports and likes to play tennis and run 5Ks.
