On Saturday, Dec. 1, Back Bay Brewing's Farmhouse Brewing Co. transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland full of Christmas cheer and handcrafted beer. Wreaths and garland now adorn the 20th-century farmhouse and its grounds dazzle beneath a 16-foot Christmas tree. Adding yet another touch of holiday spirit to the grand event were bottles of Farmhouse’s latest brew, Nut Quacker.
Nut Quacker is a dark, creamy blend of everything winter. The almond cream stout is a limited release brewed with a heavy dose of lactose, giving the beer its signature velvety texture and intricate layers of sweetness. Nut Quacker was highly revered by Farmhouse and Back Bay Brewing visitors as a new seasonal favorite, but it won’t be on the shelves for long.
Santa Claus also made a special appearance at the Grand Illumination along with a Saint Nick-inspired music ensemble, The Swinging Santa Band. Visitors of all ages explored the onsite Christmas tree lot, sipped hot libations and indulged in authentic Italian and American fanfare at La Cucina and Cast Iron Catering food trucks.
