Funny Bone Offers More Elbow Room, More Names, and Games

Comedian Nick Deez performs at the new Funny Bone Comedy Club in his hometown of Virginia Beach.

At the new Funny Bone Comedy Club in Virginia Beach, customers do not have to worry about having enough elbow room or hitting their funny bone.

Funny Bone opened in January in Pembroke Square in a brand-new, spacious, 22,200-square-foot venue with 450 seats. The expanded space means more room for guests and the ability to welcome nationally recognized comedians to a larger stage.

Marlon Wayans took the stage in January. Comics scheduled to appear at the Funny Bone this spring include Tommy Davidson, Bill Bellamy, and T.J. Miller.

The opening night crowd at the new Funny Bone, now located at 4554 Virginia Beach Blvd., Suite 100, was treated to hilarious sets by Ragin’ Cajun John Morgan and Coastal Virginia native Bo last name Dacious.

The club also added DraftCade, an arcade bar featuring 48 beers on tap, more than 90 classic and modern arcade games, and more than 20 TVs for live sports.

“We’re excited to launch this classic arcade experience in [Virginia Beach] that customers love in our other markets,” Funny Bone owner Todd Leinenbach said. “DraftCade is a perfect complement to the fun you’ve experienced at the Funny Bone for years.

“We welcome everyone to enjoy unlimited gaming for the lowest price you can find: $10 per person. Our goal is to be the funnest place in town.”
