Scrumptious Weekend Kicks Off with Yorktown Tapas Crawl

On April 25–28, Culturefix’s newest regional culinary festival “Scrumptious” will showcase some of the area’s amazing restaurants, breweries, wineries and chefs during a fun lineup of community events throughout Williamsburg and Yorktown. “Scrumptious” kicks off Thursday from 6–9 p.m. at Riverwalk Landing with the Yorktown Tapas Crawl featuring delicious menus with seafood and sweets paired with wine, craft beer and cocktails at three waterfront restaurants.

Riverwalk Restaurant Executive Chef Brian Hines

The Crawl starts at Riverwalk Restaurant with a choice of draft beer, glass of red or white wine or specialty cocktail. Pair your libation with beautiful seafood charcuterie of cured salmon, ahi tuna and octopus salami served with French bread, pickled onion, dill cream cheese and wasabi aioli.

The Crawl continues at Water Street Grille with a choice of a 12-ounce draft beer, glass of selected red or white wine or a specialty cocktail offering. Drinks combine with cuisine with a tantalizing trio of tapas, including a mac ‘n’ cheese eggroll, crispy fried oyster and flash fried zucchini.

Carrot Tree desserts

Finish off the night at Carrot Tree for a taste of the bakery’s legendary desserts: opera cake, tiramisu and a delicious éclair.

Tickets are $60 and can be purchased here.

Enjoy more food fanfare in Yorktown on Saturday, April 27 during Yorktown Market Days’ special themed Pirate Invasion Market featuring dock-to-dish goodies held in conjunction with the two-day Pirates Invade Yorktown Festival. The extended market runs from 8 a.m.–3 p.m. with a live cooking demo from chefs at 10 a.m. at Water Street Grille and samplings from food trucks. During the festival, families can explore an array of dining options throughout Historic Yorktown, including a festive menu at Water Street Grille.
