The Garage Brewery Opens in Chesapeake

Chesapeake welcomed its second craft brewery, a construction-centric beer hall, in July. The Garage Brewery offers a succinct menu of locally made sours, IPAs, pale ales and lagers that can be enjoyed in the brewery’s garage-themed taproom or on the spacious outdoor patio.

Flanking the brewery’s interior is worksite paraphernalia like caution tape, steel beams, road signs, finishing tools and The Garage’s signature yellow hardhat. Patrons can choose to sit at the bar, communal tables, high tops or on the 21-and-over mezzanine offering sweeping views of the industrial brewhouse.

The brewery’s self-proclaimed well built beers include a saccharine Honey Bee IPA, fruit-forward Boss Lady Vol. 2, Light Bulb American Craft Lager, Crowbar porter and more. Complementing the boozy pours are curbside eats from local food trucks. Food offerings rotate daily and range from seafood and Chinese to cheesesteaks and hot dogs.

The Garage Brewery is located at 1011 Eden Way N, Chesapeake and is open Tuesday through Sunday. For more information, visit Facebook.com/TheGarageBrewery
