Vessel Craft Coffee announced it will open a second location in March on the first floor of Norfolk City Hall in Downtown Norfolk. The new location will include an expanded menu with drip, pour over and specialty coffee drinks, cold brew and nitro cold brew on tap, espresso drinks, hot and cold brew teas, baked goods and light fare for breakfast and lunch.
The specialty coffee company currently operates a brew bar, retail storefront and roastery that opened in 2017 in Selden Market, a retail incubator for new and emerging businesses. The company launched Vessel Roasting in October 2018 and has since released six new specialty coffee single origins and blends.
“We are excited to offer our craft coffees at the City Hall location,” said Sarah Cowherd, founder and managing partner of Vessel Craft Coffee. “It’s rewarding to see how the Norfolk community has embraced our mission to offer unique, high quality coffees sourced from small farms around the world that do sustainable farming and support farming communities. We believe it’s good business to care about our community and be a responsible steward of the world’s resources.”
“We are thrilled to support the growth of an original Selden Market business as they expand into their second Downtown location,” added Mary Miller, president and CEO of the Downtown Norfolk Council. “It’s been a pleasure to watch Vessel Craft Coffee thrive downtown. Their success speaks to the truly vibrant community we have.”
