Your imagination will soar when you visit the award-winning Virginia Air & Space Science Center, the official Visitor Center of NASA Langley Research Center, as you observe historic aircraft and spacecraft suspended from the Center’s 94-foot ceiling and enjoy IMAX films in 3D on a giant screen.

This world-class facility, nestled in Hampton’s picturesque downtown waterfront is a treasure that houses more than 100 aviation and space exhibits, interactive displays, and fascinating simulations designed to ensure a delightful experience for the entire family. 

The state-of-the-art Space Gallery includes immersive exhibit experiences that allow families to participate together. Whether it is constructing colonies on the surface of Mars, creating a solar system, landing on an asteroid, or experiencing black holes, the state-of-the-art Space Gallery includes experiences that allow engagement opportunities for every family member. 

In the Early Learners Gallery, children and families can explore the universe, climb to the clouds, engineer their most out-of-this-world creation, color a plane and watch it soar across the giant screen, and more!
