The holiday season may be over, but it’s the most wonderful time of year for Coastal Virginia foodies. Over the next few months, participating restaurants throughout the region will be offering dining deals in conjunction with each city’s Restaurant Week. These Restaurant Weeks give diners a chance to savor multiple-course meals for lunch and dinner service, with breakfast options at some eateries. New this year, many restaurants will also be offering carryout and even delivery options, to enjoy Restaurant Week while remaining socially distanced.
Newport News Restaurant Awareness Week
Jan. 9–23: The Newport News Hospitality Association rebranded the city’s annual Restaurant Week this year to be “Restaurant Awareness Week.” For two weeks, participating restaurants will offer specials for dine in or carryout. Diners can visit Newport News’ Facebook page and enter to win $50 gift cards to one of the participating restaurants. Some restaurants are even extending their Restaurant Week offers through the end of the month.
Downtown Norfolk Restaurant Week
Jan. 17–24: Downtown Norfolk Restaurant Week highlights the best of Downtown Norfolk’s dining scene, while also supporting downtown restaurants. Many participating restaurants have special menus for carryout, and some have delivery options available. Restaurant Week options include $12 lunch, $12 brunch, $25 dinner and $35 dinner.
Williamsburg Restaurant Week
Jan. 21–31: Almost 40 restaurants will be participating in this year’s Williamsburg Restaurant Week. Throughout Williamsburg, participating eateries will offer specials for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with dine in, takeout and curbside options. Follow Williamsburg Area Restaurant Association (WARA) on Facebook to enter giveaways during Restaurant Week. Every day, 10 winners will be selected to receive gift certificates from WARA restaurant members.
Portsmouth Restaurant Week
Jan. 24–30: During Portsmouth Restaurant Week, participating restaurants will offer diners two course lunches, for $10 and $15, and three-course dinners, for $25 and $35. Several local restaurants are already signed up to participate, and a full list can be found online.
Smithfield & Isle of Wight Restaurant Week
Jan. 29–Feb. 6: Smithfield and Isle of Wight County invite diners to “pig out and feel good about it.” All restaurants participating in Smithfield & Isle of Wight County Restaurant Week are independently owned. Restaurants will offer $10 and $15 lunches, as well as $20 and $30 dinners. Restaurant Week options include dine in, carryout, outdoor seating and curbside delivery.
Virginia Beach Restaurant Week
Jan. 31–Feb. 6: Virginia Beach chefs are serving up innovative menu options during Virginia Beach Restaurant Week. Participating restaurants feature pre-fix menus with $5 and $10 breakfasts, $10 and $15 two-course lunches, and $20, $25, $35 three-course dinners. New this year, diners can order takeout family meals for $25, $40 and $60.
Hampton Roads Black Restaurant Week
Feb. 15–21: The Black Owned Restaurant Association LLC presents the second annual Hampton Roads Black Restaurant Week, aiming to unite culture and flavor during Black History Month. This week-long culinary adventure will showcase some of the region’s Black-owned restaurants at a discounted price. Participating restaurants will be announced on the website.

March 7–21: Enjoy special deals on lunch and dinner options at participating Hampton restaurants.

Suffolk Restaurant Week
March 20–27: Suffolk Restaurant Week promises a savory mix of the city’s signature flavors. Participating eateries will offer three-course price-fixed menus at three different levels: deluxe, premier and ultimate. Deluxe includes $10 breakfast, $10 lunch and $20 dinner. At the mid-level, premier offers $15 lunch and $30 dinner. The ultimate experience features $20 lunch and $40 dinner. Some restaurants will also offer specially priced family meals.
Chesapeake Restaurant Week
Oct. 15–22: Save the date for Chesapeake Restaurant Week in the fall.
