While the local favorite Ocean View St. Patrick’s Day Parade is canceled again, many area businesses are still able to host a variety of events this year. From live-streamed performances to events for the whole family, here are some ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Coastal Virginia this year.

March 19–20: Search for the Shamrocks
Chincoteague Island will host a free, socially distanced scavenger hunt during this two-day event. Pick up a playing card and visit participating business to solve the clues in order to win prizes.
March 19–21: St. Patrick’s Day High Tea Tasting
The Stillwater Tea House invites guests for a St. Patrick’s Day high tea. Tasting highlights include Irish delights with a Southern flair and three different teas for each course.
March 20: The Lepre-Cornhole Charity Tournament
Enjoy a fantastic day of cornhole, ciders, food and entertainment at Sly Clyde Ciderworks in Hampton. Sign up for the Lepre-cornhole tournament. Registration includes three guaranteed games, a drink ticket and discounts on select cider.

Until March 28: Busch Gardens St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all month long with an all-new, limited-capacity special event. Enjoy the park’s decorated villages, your favorite rides and coasters, classic pub fare and live entertainment.

March 12: St. Patrick’s Day with Glasgow Kiss
Celtic music ensemble, Glasgow Kiss, takes the stage at The Vanguard Brewpub and Distillery in Hampton for a free performance.
March 12–13: Shamrock the Burg
The Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg’s annual fundraiser, Shamrock the Burg, will feature curbside pick-up at Culture Café. Purchase a traditional Irish dinner or a seven-course Irish meal that includes a six pack of Alewerks Superb IPA.
March 12–17: GMCC’s “Luck O’ the Irish”
The Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic is hosting “Luck O’ the Irish,” an online auction and traditional Irish dinner to-go prepared by Waypoint Seafood & Grill. The auction opens Friday, March 12 and closes on Wednesday, March 17. Dinner pick ups are on Saturday, March 13.
March 12–19: Shake Your Shamrocks
Brass Cannon Brewing in Williamsburg is celebrating St. Patrick’s fun for a whole week with drink specials, live music and the annual release of The Golden Malarkey.
March 13: Walk, Talk, Taste: Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with a “Green” Tour
Exercise your body, mind and tastebuds with Shored Up in downtown Hampton. Walk two miles along Hampton’s waterfront and learn about Hampton’s unique ecology along the way. The ticket purchase includes a local brew and bowl of soup from Chef Temeka at Bull Island Brewing Company.
March 13: COVA St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Ocean View’s COVA Brewing Company will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a day of live music, food trucks and local vendors. Imbibers can visit the PourMyBeer beverage wall for festive green beer.
March 13: Leprechaun’s Revenge
For one night only in Chesapeake, Frightmare transforms into a terrifying St. Patrick’s Day-themed experience. Minors must be accompanied by someone 18 or older.

March 13–21: Waterside District St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with kegs and eggs, green beer, delicious eats and Irish entertainment. Norfolk’s Waterside District will have a number of food and drink specials, as well as live music.
March 17: Poisoned Dwarf St. Patrick’s Day Concert
The Hampton History Museum is offering an alternative to going out on St. Patrick’s Day with an hour of time-honored Irish music from Poisoned Dwarf. The performance, part of the museum’s Virtual Front Porch Music Series, will be live streamed on Facebook Live at 7 p.m.
