2020 Coastal Virginia Magazine WineFest Recap

Presented by Virginia Eye Consultants

A celebration of good times with Virginia wines, the seventh annual Coastal Virginia Magazine WineFest was held on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 25 and 26 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Ten Virginia wineries, four cideries, three breweries, four distilleries and one meadery provided tastings while specialty vendors offered arts and crafts, jewelry, clothing, home décor, gourmet foods and other unique goods and services.

In addition to wines and ciders available to taste and a craft beer garden, new this year was a distillery den offering up samples and drinks made with fine regional spirits. Live music was provided by Buck Shot on Saturday and Heather Edwards Band on Sunday. A grape stomp competition was held between radio personality Chelsea Hanson from 94.9 The Point and Karen Endsley of “Cooking from the Heart” on Cox TV and between Some Guy Named Allen and Emily Arthur from US106.1.

Guests received a commemorative wine glass, and featured wines and spirits were also available for take-home purchase. A portion of proceeds from this year’s WineFest will benefit VistaCares Foundation.
