Chef Anne Galante and partner Patrick Edwards opened the second location of The Stockpot earlier in the winter at Selden Market in Downtown Norfolk. The new comfort food café is larger than its first restaurant location in Virginia Beach’s ViBe Creative District, which opened in 2015.
The Stockpot Norfolk seats 50 in a sleek two-story 2,000-square-foot space that’s centered around a wrap-around bar with an open kitchen, exposed brick and original concrete and tile floors. A second floor loft overlooks the dining room that’s surrounded in booths.
Galante sources ingredients from local purveyors while the menu features signature soups and specials that change daily in addition to breakfast, toasts, salads, sides, cocktails, cider and craft beer.

“We’ve been planning this for more than a year,” said Galante. “We have received a very warm welcome and want to understand this market better to determine what they want as far as ramen nights or extended hours.”
The Stockpot Norfolk is open Monday through Friday 8 a .m.–7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
