The Bride!

Plot: In director Maggie Gyllenhaal’s remake of 1935’s Bride of Frankenstein, a murdered young woman in 1930s Chicago is reborn again at the hands of Frankenstein (Christian Bale) and Dr. Euphronius. The Bride becomes not only Frankenstein’s romantic companion but the subject of police scrutiny and the leader of a radical social movement.

Reminders of Him

Plot: After a perfect outing with her boyfriend, Kenna (Maika Monroe) makes an unbearable mistake that sends her to prison. Seven years later, Kenna returns to her hometown in Wyoming, hoping to rebuild her life and earn the chance to reunite with her young daughter. This is an adaptation of a literary work by bestselling author Colleen Hoover.

The Breadwinner

Plot: Nate Bargatze has to become a stay-at-home dad after his wife (Mandy Moore) lands a deal on Shark Tank. Bargatze, a standout standup whose tours have made stops in Coastal Virginia, makes his feature film debut, which he also wrote, directed, and produced. He is collaborating with Eric Appel, who helmed Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, and co-writer Dan Lagana.
