The Coastal Virginia Bride Winter Wedding Showcase was held on Jan. 6 at The Founders Inn and Spa in Virginia Beach, and united brides- and grooms-to-be along with their guests with the best vendors, samples and information to plan their fabulous wedding in Coastal Virginia.
Attendees met with local wedding experts to learn more about their offerings, which included cake tastings; finding the perfect reception location; flower and décor design ideas; photographers, videographers and DJs; catering options; and a runway fashion show featuring stylish gown styles. During the event, SilverSpoon Bakery, Carolina Cupcakery and Nothing Bundt Cakes provided dessert samples while Black Pelican Seafood provided samples of their catering options. Guests even had a chance to meet the men of the 2019 Norfolk SPCA’s Magic Mutt calendar!
Four lucky brides participated in the annual Cake Dive, where the winner received a bachelorette party at Coastal Virginia Magazine WineFest and four tickets to CoVa Burger Battle, which is valued at $1,000!
Bride-to-be Mariah Smith was randomly selected and announced as the grand prize winner at the Winter Wedding Showcase. Smith won a Dream Wedding worth $15,000, which includes a stunning wedding at Farmhouse Brewing in Virginia Beach; his and her wedding bands from Boyer’s Diamonds in Town Center; event planning provided by Premier Events including tables, chairs and floral centerpieces; wedding photography by All You Photo; cocktail hour catering by Sweetwater Cuisine; a custom wedding cake by SilverSpoon Bakery; a bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniè by Blushing Floral Designs by Alexandra; and a seven-day/six-night honeymoon of their choice in either Jamaica, Costa Rica or Punta Cana provided by Colonial DJs!
