Jurassic Journey Brings Dinosaurs to Town Center of Virginia Beach

Dinosaurs at Town Center
Town Center of Virginia Beach

Shoppers beware: Dinosaurs are coming to Virginia Beach and taking over Town Center from July 2 to 14. Hosted by the Central Business District Association, the two-week Jurassic Journey boasts 20 lifelike Dinosaur exhibits, Live! “TC-Rex” encounters, dig tents and more. Nightly entertainment and themed movie nights also await those brave enough to venture into Town Center come sundown.

Free to the public and open rain or shine are the 20 Dinosaur exhibits accessible by a self-guided tour. Learn about different dinosaurs, prehistoric time periods and fun facts. Tour maps are available at the Dig Tent, another venue for young and seasoned dinosaur lovers alike to explore fossil rubbings and make their own Cretaceous chalk art or take home treats at the Dino Emporium. Fill out a Dino Questionnaire to receive a dino-mite deal at Town Center vendors like Keagan’s Irish Pub & Restaurant, Tupelo Honey, YMCA at Town Center, The Royal Chocolate and Lamia’s Crepes.
